Abstract

The Second Vatican Council initiated the work of reform and renewal of the liturgy in the universal Church. The Church in Poland joined the post-conciliar trend with Card. Stefan Wyszyński. Hence, this text is dedicated to him, the problem of which is summarized in the following questions: to what extent is Primate Wyszyński a precursor of the reform and renewal of the liturgy in the post-Conciliar Church in Poland and what is his contribution to this work? 

The paper was structured in the form of a triptych. In the first part, Primate Wyszyński was shown as an exemplary liturgist and competent liturgist. The second part presents the implementation of the liturgical reform, and the third – achievements in the field of liturgical renewal. In the development of the text, the method of text analysis and synthesis was used. This study presents the Primate of Poland as a distinguished precursor of the reform and renewal of the liturgy of the Church in Poland. It shows his valuable contribution to this work, which to this day is a solid foundation of the religious culture of Catholic society.
