Abstract

The article was devoted to the teaching of Blessed Stefan Wyszynski on life according to the evangelical counsels, which was addressed to the women members of the Secular Institute of Helpers of Mary of Jasna Gora, Mother of the Church. In connection with the above, Wyszynski’s teaching in this aspect was analyzed, covering the years 1943-1981, i.e. the period from the first meeting of Father Wyszynski with women members of the emerging Institute until his death. Preserving the atmosphere and specificity of the Blessed’s ascetic conferences and reflections, the justification for the consecrated life was presented, followed by the teaching on consecrated chastity, poverty and obedience. At the end of the article, there is a Abstract of the research and the theses and conclusions drawn from them, indicating, among others, to the fact that Wyszynski treated the Helpers’ observance of the evangelical counsels not only as a means of their personal sanctification, but also as a preparation for the fruitful fulfillment of their evangelizing mission.
