The article summarizes the value of Pro memoria of Primate Stefan Wyszyński as a historical source. The text presents the most important information about the log of this hierarchy. The subject of the primate’s notes and their character were discussed as comprehensively as possible. The Abstract indicates the research fields in which Pro memoria can be used and a synthetic recapitulation of their potential impact on historical research on the history of Poland in the years 1949-1981
