Abstract

Admonition is a requirement whose source is God Himself, His will and His saving pedagogy. It refers to reprehensible behavior and moral attitudes that call for censure. Every follower of Jesus Christ is obliged to respond appropriately to moral evil. However, in today’s cultural-spiritual climate, dominated by individualism and social conformity, exhortation has become an undesirable, ill-received attitude, and is even pushed outside the bracket of consciousness even within the Church itself. This article wants – even if only in a modest way – to contribute to restoring the rightful place of the not easy, after all, art of admonition, provoking deeper reflection on it, especially among the faithful of the Church.
