Abstract

Communication has always been an important aspect of culture, because I know that culture itself is communication. On the other hand, communication creates culture. Culture passes on behavioral patterns, or codes, from generation to generation. Culture and media interpenetrate each other. The media give culture a new structure and order, one coud even say a new status. But there is alsow a feedbeck relationship: culture changes and shapes the image of the media. For this reason, we can talk about the culture-forming role of the media. Just as we can talk about Cultural communication, we are alsow entitled to talk about art communication. For McLuhan art is a means of communication and a unique technique unlike any other. Art is a transmitter and at the same time is a form of knowledge and combating the influence of other transmitters, is a specific form of language that affects people primarily through its essence and not through its content.
