Abstract

In recent years, there has been intensive research on religious freedom. Numerous centers monitoring and analyzing the state of compliance with this elementary human right emerge in the world and Poland. They conduct various basic research, but particular emphasis falls on applied research, which aims to discover and link the results to social life, and implementation research which introduces the postulates and developed models of concrete conduct. Contributing to this is, among other things, the increase in the threat to religious freedom throughout the world and the appreciation of the fact of religiosity for social and economic issues. It is a question, therefore, of fully exercising this right both individually and socially. This article aims to present the characteristics of scientific research on religious freedom, divided into basic, applied, and implementation research.
