Abstract

The subject of this article is the analysis of contemporary threats to Christian religiosity in Poland in the light of the Document of the Commission for the Doctrine of the Faith of the Polish Bishops' Conference “On the proper understanding of Christian religiosity”. The division into two poles of threats used by the authors of the document is discussed. In addition, specific examples of manifestations of distorted religiosity were presented to justify the Commission's response to the dangers associated with its various forms that deviate from Christian orthodoxy. The validity of the division used was also evaluated, where far more attention was paid to forms of perverted zealotry than to manifestations of the secularization of Christianity.
