Privacy Statement

The PRIEL Editorial Board ensures compliance with the privacy policy and protects the personal data of cooperating authors. Entrusted data are used solely for the purposes of the publishing process.

Information clause

According to Article 13(1) and (2) of Regulation 2016/679/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (OJ L 119 of 04.05.2016, p. 1), the controller of your personal data is UKSW – Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw, address: ul. Dewajtis 5, 01-815 Warszawa.

1. Your personal data will be processed for the following purposes:
a) to estimate the value of a public procurement contract, or
b) to sign a contract with the selected contractor/give a job to the selected contractor, execute and settle the contract, or to settle EU funding obtained by UKSW for the execution of such a contract/job;

2. The basis for the processing of your personal data is:
a) General Data Protection Regulation of 27 April, 2016 Article 6(1)(a), i.e. consent to the processing of personal data – in the case referred to in the Information Clause 2(a), meaning your response to the inquiry sent to you regarding estimation of the value of a public contract,
b) General Data Protection Regulation of 27 April, 2016 Article 6(1)(b), i.e. where processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, or for taking action upon the data subject’s demand, before signing a contract – in the case referred to in the Information Clause 2(b),
c) General Data Protection Regulation of 27 April, 2016 Article 6(1)(a), i.e. consent to publication of contractor’s data – in the case referred to in the Information Clause 2(b) if the procedure is co-funded with EU funds,

3. Disclosure of your personal data is voluntary yet indispensable for:
a) taking part in the process of awarding the contract/job, or
b) taking part in the process of estimating the value of the public contract;

4. You have the following rights:
a) to demand access to your personal data, right to rectification of such data (as per GDPR Article 16) and to restriction of processing (as per GDPR Article 18);
b) to withdraw your consent and to data erasure if it is based on GDPR Article 6(1)(a), exclusively in the case of:
•  a procedure co-funded by the EU, in respect of data publication, or
•  contract value estimation;
c) to file a complaint with the supervisory authority, i.e. the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection;

5. Only the personnel duly authorized by the Data Controller have access to your personal data on a need-to-know basis within the organization of the University.

6. The unit of organization that processes personal data in respect of examining requests for information regarding the manner and scope of processing of your personal data is the UKSW Administration and Technical Department.

7. Your personal data will not be disclosed to any third parties other than parties duly authorized to receive such data under the law or contract.

8. Personal data are not processed automatically and are not subject to profiling.

9. Your personal data will be retained for the period of 5 years after the contract/job completion date, in accordance with the regulations issued pursuant to Article 6(2) of the National Archival Resource and Archives Act of 14 July, 1983 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 217, as amended). In case of a procedure co-funded by the EU, the retention period may be longer, as defined pursuant to Article 140 of Regulation (EU) No. 1303/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 December, 2013 laying down common provisions on the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund, the Cohesion Fund, the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund and laying down general provisions on the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund, the Cohesion Fund and the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund and repealing Council Regulation (EC) No. 1083/2006;
