Abstract

John Paul II knew that the advent of media civilization is an inevitable process and that education in media and all means of social communication is necessary so that they are used in accordance with the personalistic pedagogy of which he was the precursor. It was the polish pope who, given the interest he had in the media environment, gained the title-Pope of the Media. First of all, it expresses John Paul II‘s deep commitment to learning, supporting and using the media in the modern world, especially in the Church. The title is also proven by the fact that he has published the most texts on media and journalism. As one of the first successors of Saint. Peter became an outstanding and famous media figure, appearing countless times in the mass media-as a teacher, pilgrim and preacher of the Gospel of Christ.
