A cinematographic image of the holy nuns

Monika Lender-Gołębiowska

Abstract

The image of a woman in the film over the years has undergone numerous changes. From times when you could see elegantly dressed ladies with impeccable manners on the screen. Up to the contemporary image of an independent, working and sometimes vulgar woman. In this juxtaposition, it should be noted that regardless of the fashion prevailing in these times, the women were holy, they were religious nuns, but also wives, mothers and virgins defending their purity. The fact is that contemporary cinematography affects the unrealistic perception of reality. The sphere of the image, and thus the film, significantly affects the psyche and the development of the human personality. That is why it is important to present those who lived in Catholic values against the background of contemporary popular models of women and show how to achieve the eternal joy of being in heaven. In a given article, the research method is the analysis and critique of audiovisual communications.
