Wolność religijna w polskiej Konstytucji z 2 kwietnia 1997 r.

Patryk Gołubców

Abstract

Religious freedom, defined by the Polish Constitution of 1977 as ‘freedom of religious conscience’, is one of the fundamental and civil rights. An expression of this fact is the provisions of the Polish Constitution in this regard, in particular Art. 25 and Art. 53 of the Polish Constitution. Although the mentioned freedom belongs to fundamental civil rights, the basic law nevertheless provides for and precisely defines the circumstances in which the possibility of limiting it may be applied. By making references to the provisions of Polish constitutions from the period of the Second Polish Republic, an attempt was made to emphasize the precision of the provisions of the currently binding constitution. The implementation of the freedom of conscience and religion in its public dimension takes place in Poland through churches and other religious associations.
