Abstract

This article presents the phenomenon of the over two yearslong activity of the Congress of Catholic Women and Men, considering the reasons for its creation, the operation mode, goals and ways of achieving them. The text’s primary focus goes on ten postulates developed by Congress, which were submitted to the authorities of the Polish Church as a part of the synodal process. The purpose of which will be to prove the hypothesis that in response to Pope’s Francis appeal to build a synodal Church, the so far dispersed communities of Polish Catholics, convinced of the need for changes in the Church, created a virtual platform for debate and took
actions, which in their opinion, are the way to build a synodal Church in Poland.
