Aquatic motifs in the poetry of Wincenty Korab-Brzozowski

Abstract

The article is an attempt to present the presence of aquatic motifs in the lyrical work of Wincenty Korab-Brzozowski. Speaking about the element of water present in this poet's poems, the functioning of water representatives, such as the sea, ocean, stream, fountains, tears and snowflakes, was expounded and discussed. The analysis carried out was intended to emphasize the reflective nature of the water element and the motifs of mare tenebrarum, Hindu thought, the narrative of Narcissus and Maeterlinck’s affinities.
