In the article, the author of the work chose to present the image of the family in Polish feature films made after 2004 as the subject of research. The research goal is to analyze the ways in which the family was presented in Polish feature cinematography, based on the film language used. The following research methods were used in the work: content analysis, image analysis and music analysis. Four productions were selected for research: "Cicha Noc" (2017) by Piotr Domalewski, "Mój Biegun" (2013) by Marcin Głowacki, "Nad Życie" (2012) by Anna Plutecka-Mesjasz and "Hania" (2007) by Janusz Kamiński, mainly because per year of production. The study is based on the analysis of the film's language, narrative, visuality, symbolism, film conventions and the social and cultural context in which the films were created. The analysis shows that Polish filmmakers in their productions address topics reflecting the problems of the modern family, such as divorce, addiction, emigration, domestic violence, and lack of communication, to raise social awareness.
