The sociology of everyday life became the inspiration to write the article. In the theoretical part, the author refers to the concept of lifestyle, Goffman's metaphor of life as theater, and P. Bourdieu's theory of taste, habitus, cultural and social capital. The text concerns selected elements of the lifestyle of Polish celebrities, people who are known not only because - in the language of K. T. Toeplitz - they have become "inhabitants of the mass imagination", but also because they have achieved professional success and high material status. Based on celebrities' statements, we can reconstruct the everyday and ceremonial values they uphold, how they spend their free time, we can learn about their passions, culinary preferences, etc. The empirical base of the study consists of recordings of several dozen episodes of the television program Stars Privately. In order to illustrate her own analyses, the author refers to six randomly selected ones (she uses one of the qualitative research methods, which is a case study). Above all, he focuses on visual aspects, including discusses the aesthetic and functional values of interiors in which the everyday life of Polish media stars takes place. Representatives of the Polish upper class most often live in houses in the suburbs or in luxurious apartments in the city center. Their large apartments and carefully designed gardens reveal the hosts' preferences and say a lot about their aesthetic tastes. In each of the apartments, items related to status were displayed: luxury goods that provide prestige, constitute a distinguishing factor, confirming a high social position. In almost every house there are objects referring to tradition and the past (souvenirs of ancestors, photographs documenting important events and people, interior furnishing elements preserved and transferred from the family home, etc.) In some apartments you can notice objects showing interest in the sacred sphere.
