Creating sentimental press referring to the children-youth press. H20: Just Add Water magazine casy study

Abstract

The author presents a new phenomenon in the press, which is the formation of the so-called sentimental press, whose recipients are the kidults, i.e. "eternal children". This was done through content analysis and narrative analysis on an example magazine that may represent such a press section, titled H2O: Just Add Water by the Panini group, in order to answer the research questions, is the H2O: Just Add Water magazine published in 2022 intended for children and early adolescents, and what elements prove the sentimental nature of the magazine? The author presented the features of sentimental periodicals, pointing out new, unusual movements of press publishers.
