Abstract

This paper presents preliminary findings from an original study conducted under the project Diagnoza postaw wobec gier wideo społecznego oddziaływania [Diagnosis of attitudes toward social impact video games]. Its main goal is to capture how video games are perceived as a medium of social impact in Poland. The research combines an online survey (Computer Assisted Web Interview – CAWI) and direct surveys (Paper and Pencil Interview – PAPI) carried out from April to December 2025, involving both social media recruitment and thematic lectures. Early results based on 135 respondents reveal current attitudes and levels of public awareness toward this specific type of games.
