Citation Style

Citation and Bibliographic Guidelines

Beginning with issue 61/2025 (from January 1, 2025), Kultura Media Teologia (KMT) adopts the APA 7th edition citation and reference style: https://apastyle.apa.org/.
Examples of APA 7 usage can be found at: https://www.grafiati.com/pl/info/apa-7/examples/.

For non-standard bibliographic sources, information on the method of citation is provided in the description of the thematic issue prepared by the issue’s academic editor.

Examples of in-text bibliographic references

  • Source information should include the author’s surname and year of publication, e.g., (Kowalski, 2023). When referring to a specific passage, page numbers should also be indicated, e.g., (Kowalski, 2023, s. 14–17).
  • Multiple cited sources should be separated by semicolons, e.g., (Mearsheimer & Walt, 2007; Brzezinski, 2010).
  • For video games, the bibliographic reference should follow this format: Developer (year of release). Title of the game [platform]. Publisher.
In the text, only the developer and year of release should be cited.

Reference List

The reference list should be arranged alphabetically, regardless of the type of publication.
