The death penalty is still under discussion in the modern world. More and more countries decide to stop applying it. The aim of this article is to describe the formation of polish and international legal regulations which have aimed at abolishing the death penalty in Poland. Additionally, the article describes the most important arguments of abolitionists and supporters of the death penalty.
