Abstract

The paper discusses the topic of mobile payment services such as Android Pay, Samsung Pay and Apple Pay. The main objective of the paper is to present basic issues arising from this kind of services with respect to commonly binding, Polish regulations applicable to the matter, e.g. Bank Law or Act on payment services. Author reviews payment process
involving solely credit cards and carries out a comparison of the above-mentioned, well-known service and the latest service based on mobile payments technology. Subsequently, the author focuses on some of the legal problems arising from the differences between both procedures, such as credit card issuer’s liability for unauthorized payments and credit card holder’s obligations in this regard.
