Abstract

The main aim of the article is to show mechanisms of supporting renewable sources of energy by municipalities, on the example of municipality of Łomża. In the first part of the article author describes legal basis of supporting installations which are using renewable ources of energy, contained in polish and community legislation acts. Besides article lays own description of cluster of energy and system of embedded generation, substantial from the perspective of renewable sources of energy and its progress. Next part of the article ontains description of community of Łomża, particular attention being paid to the location, climate and natural conditions, with a special focus on plans, projects and other mechanisms of support used by community of Łomża.
