Abstract

The main purpose of this article is to characterize the normative definitions of liquid biofuels and biocomponents, as well as to depict mutual dependencies and their impact on regulatory duties for the production of both substances and other normative and non-normative aspects
concerning these sectors. The problem is extremely complex, being an issue of many disciplines, and in addition, the regulations contain a contradiction that may lead to circumvention the law or law misinterpretations. As the broadest analysis of the issues mentioned is necessary, therefore the article will point out not only the proper legal acts, but also the important technological and economic information to fully understand the essence
of the issue.
