The main purpose of the article is to explain legal effect on entry in the register of investment funds. Describing basic information about purpose and functioning of both investment funds and the register allows to indicate the scope of data included in the register. As it turns out, the vast majority are declarative entries, thus the following part of the article is for pointing out and analysing cases that result in constitutive effects. In conclusion, they are mostly
related to foundation, transformation, merger or liquidation process. Nevertheless, potential consequences are not always entirely covered by the provisions of Investment Funds And The Management Of Alternative Investment Funds Act, therefore the ability to distinguish between declarative and constitutive entries should be considered as essential.
