Abstract

The article presents moral guidance for Christian spouses based on the light of the Word of God contained in the five points of Paul VI’s encyclical Humanae vitae. This guidance includes encouragement to take on the task of fidelity to the teaching of the Church. The text shows the realism of the passing of the earthly world, at the same time pointing to the supernatural reality. Prayer is the tool that helps in spiritual development and in abiding by the moral guidance of the Church. The authors also draw attention to the need to involve priests in the spiritual process of accompanying spouses on their path to full development.
