Monoteletyzm w Bizancjum VII wieku: między terminologią a znaczeniem

Abstrakt

W Bizancjum VII w. rozpoczęła się długa i gorąca dyskusja na temat woli i energii w Chrystusie, która stała się głównym zagadnieniem teologicznym tego wieku. Wraz z trwającą debatą teologiczną problematyka ta ewoluowała. Niniejszy artykuł jest próbą przybliżenia specyfiki monoteletyzmu pod względem merytoryczno-terminologicznym i przedstawienia jego kluczowych twierdzeń. W artykule omawiany jest związek między poglądem o jedności osoby Chrystusa a przekonaniem o jedności Jego woli. Są również przedstawiane racje za utrzymywaniem przez monoteletów swoistej terminologii, a także wyjaśniana jest istota monoteletyzmu.
