Abstract

The article provides an analysis of the concept of divorce mentality, which appears in the jurisprudence of the Roman Rota as a term describing the way in which marriage is understood by some parties involved in marriage annulment cases. The article is part of doctoral dissertation based on an analysis of 196 rotal sentences from 1983 to 2013. Using the observations of rotal ponens, the ideas that make up the divorce mentality were presented and a synthetic approach to the concept of divorce mentality was proposed.
