The issue of abnormality is deontically linked to related concepts such as disease, anomaly and deviation. Equally ambiguous is the opposite term, normality, whose connotations, but not synonyms, include health, absence of disease and quality of life. In both cases, i.e. both normality and abnormality, science has direct access only to the effects and consequences of human activity, which are mediated by the individual’s personality, hence the term ‘experimental normality’ is usually used, which forms the foundation for the legal normativity of societies. experimental normality, which forms the foundation for the legal normativity of societies. However, the objective, and not merely majority-based, establishment of social norms and patterns would not be possible without idealistic normality, i.e. axiology and anthropology, which allow for the interpretation of the findings of expert psychologists and psychiatrists.
