Abstract

This article presents issues related to parental authority, understood as all the obligations and rights of parents towards a child. An attempt has been made to define this legal concept, taking into account the position of the doctrine and jurisprudence. The issues related to the legal aspect of relations between parents and children were analyzed. The basic features of the proper exercise of parental responsibility and the elements that make up the legal structure of this concept were discussed. First of all, the text introduces and discusses the role of a probation officer in proceedings related to the exercise of supervision in guardianship matters.
