Abstract

In the article The Church and the Death Penalty, Fr. Jacek Salij OP, shows the evolution of the attitude towards the death penalty, presented in the Bible and in the contemporary teaching of the Church. The author explains why the Church recognises that nowadays the death penalty should be abolished but at the same time it does not reject it completely.
