Michał Czerenkiewicz’s monograph examines the Kraków printing house founded by Krzysztof Schedel and run by his family from 1639 to 1707. The study analyzes the printers’ biographies, the published works, and their typographic, social, and reception contexts. It documents previously unknown and lost titles, printing equipment, and interactions with readers and censorship. A key contribution is highlighting the printers’ active role in shaping publications, significantly advancing research on early modern Polish printing.
