In this article, the author presents the person and work of the Polish composer Władysław Żeleński (1837–1921) and presents 11 unknown works of his, kept in Polish archives. They are: The Annunciation; The white princess; Good night; Humoreska; Sea; May Night, Op. 49; Oboe spring; Song to Wilja op. 34 no. 2; Sailors’ song op. 34 no. 1; Wake up and Prelude. Recently, these works have received premier phonographic recordings on CDs, released by the reputable company Acte Préalable.
