Article Structure and Formatting

PREPARATION OF TEXTS FOR PUBLICATION

Manuscripts submitted to the Studia Psychologica: Theoria et praxis should meet the following requirements:

  • Text of submission should be written in Microsoft Office Word
  • Main text font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, double line spacing
  • Margins: 2.5 cm (Microsoft Office Word default setting)
  • The text should be aligned to the left
  • The pages should be numbered (starting with the title page); the page numbers should be located in the upper right corner of the page
  • No underlining, boldface, hyphenation, or letter-spacing should be used in the text
  • Submission should be prepared according to the APA standards

The submitted manuscript consists of:

  1. Title page (contains: author(s) full name(s), affiliation, author’s email address, and ORCID, (if applicable) research funding source). Except for the title page, no additional data about the article author(s) is to be included in the submission.
  2. Abstract (no longer than 250 words) and keywords (3-5 words)
  3. The text of the article
  4. Bibliography
  5. Appendices (if applicable) 
  • Footnotes – limited to minimum practical number, continuous numbering
  • Tables and Figures – prepared according to the APA standards. Each table and figure should be placed as they should appear in the text
  • If revised – explanation letter for reviewers' commentsAbstract and keywords

More guidelines on writing advice can be found on the Editor-in-Chief’s website (click here), but articles can be (ideally) brief reports and commentaries (about 2500 words all-inclusive), one study report (about 2500 - 5000 words all-inclusive), or multi-study reports, meta-analyses, and review papers (about 2500 - 10000 words all-inclusive).
