The Orzeł, or Eagle in English, throughout time, has served as a national symbol for countries like
Poland,
Ancient Rome, and the
United States of America. The bird is admired not just for its beauty but for its inspiring nature, soaring high with great majesty, seeing the world in "big picture". It is in this spirit that we create an award in that animal's name. Yearly, the editor-in-chief will retrospectively select a maximum of five papers accepted in
Studia Psychologica with a first author who is a Ph.D. student or early career researcher (< 3 years since Ph.D. awarded) to be evaluated for a 100 euro prize. These five papers will then be voted on by the Senior Editors accordingly.
