Abstract

The article focuses on the examples of the works of art that invoke
associations with „The Magnificat”. The author points to an isolated
case of a Botticelli painting, where the link between the Canticle
of Mary and the painting itself is verbatim. Bp. Janocha also presents
an example of an allegoric representation of „The Magnificat”,
analysing the pulpit from the Marian sanctuary in Wambierzyce in
Lower Silesia (fig. 9) — the pulpit, made in 1723, is the work of Karol
Sebastian Flacker, a woodcarver from Kłodzko.
