TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Format

• Texts should be prepared in MS Word and set in Times New Roman font.
• Font size: 12 points for the main text and 10 points for footnotes.
• Line spacing: 1.5 lines in the main text. Margins: 2.5 cm; paragraph indent: 1.0 cm.
• Alignment of the main text and footnotes – left-aligned (using MS Word alignment tools).
• Please disable macros, do not break lines manually (do not align using spaces), and do not use so-called soft returns (Shift+Ctrl+Enter) or non-breaking spaces (Shift+Ctrl+Space).
• Please do not use automatic numbered lists, bullet points, or auto-formatting tools.
• Save the file in .doc or .docx

Quotations

• Passages quoted from other works, documents, or source editions should be set in roman type (not italics) and enclosed in typographic (“curly”) quotation marks.
• Use English-style quotation marks (“ ”) for primary quotations.
• For quotations within quotations, use French (guillemets) quotation marks (« »). These should be inserted via Insert → Symbol → More Symbols in MS Word, not by typing double angle characters (<< or >>).
• The hierarchy of quotation marks is: “ « ‘ ’ » ”.
• Omissions within quoted material should be indicated as follows: Use an ellipsis in square brackets […] for omissions made by the author. Use an ellipsis in round brackets (…) to indicate omissions present in the original source. In both cases, neither the ellipsis nor the brackets should be set in italics, even when they appear within italic text.

Titles of Works

Titles of literary, musical, film, television, painting, and other artistic works, as well as books, articles, etc., should be written in italics.

Abbreviations and Dates

Use standard abbreviations: r. – year; w. – century; also np. (for example), itd. (etc.), m.in. (among others). Dates are written in numerical form, using Arabic numerals, e.g., 4.12.1952 r. The name of the month is spelled out only when the year is not given, e.g., 6 sierpnia (6 August).

Illustrative and Other Submitted Materials

Each chart, illustration, or other visual material must be listed in an index after the bibliography, with its own number, title, and source. Tables, figures, etc., should have a caption above and the source indicated below the table, e.g., author’s own work. If taken from the internet, provide the URL. If from a book, indicate the author, title, etc., along with the page number(s).

 

SUBSTANTIVE REQUIREMENTS

Article Quality

We accept scientific and review articles, case studies, commentaries, reports, interviews, and other materials related to the proposed thematic issue and consistent with the academic profile of the journal.

Article Length

Scientific and review articles, as well as case studies, should be at least half of a printed sheet in length (20,000 characters) and include footnotes and a reference bibliography. We accept texts with a maximum length of up to 30,000 characters. Authors should submit the anonymized version of their article (without authorship signals, including in footnotes, endnotes, reference bibliography, and file properties) via the OJS text submission system.

Please include the following elements with your submission:

• Author’s full name, affiliation, grant provider (if applicable), supporting institution, etc. In the anonymized version, do not include personal data in the submitted article file, as these details are entered during registration in the OJS system;
• Author’s ORCID;
• Email and postal address for correspondence (to be provided to the editorial office via the OJS system or email);
• Title of the submitted article;
• The full content of the article;
• Footnotes;
• Reference bibliography arranged alphabetically by authors’ surnames;
• Keywords in both Polish and English, up to five keywords;
• Abstract in Polish and English (up to 600 characters);
• Title in English;
• Author’s note (up to 800 characters).

In texts written in foreign languages, the format of footnotes and the bibliography should be adapted to the conventions commonly accepted in publications in the respective language. These rules apply both to so‑called traditional citation styles and to the Harvard “author–year” system. In English‑language publications, the repetition of footnotes takes the following form:

Ghostwriting and guest authorship are considered manifestations of academic misconduct. Therefore, any detected cases of practices inconsistent with the ethical standards prevailing in academia will be disclosed, including notification of the relevant bodies, such as academic societies, associations of scholarly editors, and similar organizations.

Ghostwriting occurs when someone has made a substantial contribution to the publication but their role as author is not disclosed or even acknowledged in the acknowledgements attached to the text.

Guest authorship (also referred to as honorary authorship) refers to a situation in which a person listed as author or co‑author has made only a negligible contribution to the publication or has not participated in its creation at all.
