Abstract

The article addresses the topic of the role of generative artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the context of contemporary educational challenges, with particular emphasis on teaching processes, selfeducation and lifelong learning. In the face of rapidly developing technologies, lifelong learning becomes a key element in adapting to a swiftly changing world. Technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) open up new possibilities for education by enabling significant personalization of the educational process. The article analyzes both the opportunities and risks associated with their implementation, highlighting phenomena such as the exponential pace of technological development, technological solutionism, and the transformation from connectivism to knowledge assistants. In this context, the role of teachers in shaping students’ social and adaptive skills undergoes evident changes.
