Abstract

The article discusses selected difficulties of infants with Down syndrome in the area of communication and supporting these skills. It addresses the issue of building a sense of dialogue agency in infants with Down syndrome. It presents the strengths and weaknesses of children with Down syndrome in infancy in the context of acquiring communication skills. The aim of this article is to present the communication challenges faced by infants with Down syndrome, the possible causes of these difficulties, and to consider possible ways of working on building dialogue skills in infants with this genetic syndrome.
