Reviewing process

  1. All texts submitted to "Ius Matrimoniale" are subject to review
  2. Initial assessment of the submitted text is carried out by the Editors of "Ius Matrimoniale".
  3. After receiving a positive assessment, the Editorial Secretary (omitting the personal data of the author of the text) forwards the text for review to two independent reviewers, maintaining anonymity.
  4. The editors are guided by substantive considerations in their selection of reviewers.
  5. The reviewing process excludes the appointment of a reviewer who is employed by the institution of affiliation of the Author of the text.
  6. Texts are reviewed confidentially.
  7. Reviewers are required to produce a written review according to the "Ius Matrimoniale"
  8. The review should conclude with a substantive conclusion admitting or rejecting a text for publication. All critical remarks of a reviewer require the Author's response to them. The final decision as to whether a text should be accepted for publication is taken by the Editorial Team of "Ius Matrimoniale".
  9. The editors of "Ius Matrimoniale" may ask the author of the text to introduce corrections suggested by the reviewer(s) or to accept the corrections made by the editors.
  10. If two positive reviews are received, the editors of "Ius Matrimoniale" will submit the text for publication.
