Bożena Popiołek’s monograph explores the material world of eighteenth-century Polish-Lithuanian women, examining jewellery, clothing, interior furnishings, and everyday objects. Combining cultural history, women’s history, and social analysis, the author shows how objects shaped prestige, identity, emotions, and daily life. Supported by extensive archival sources and detailed descriptions, the book offers a significant contribution to the study of Old Polish material culture, despite minor structural and bibliographic flaws.
