Abstract

On 3–4 June 2025, the University of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński and the Central Archives of Historical Records in Warsaw hosted the National Interdisciplinary Conference “The Piasts in Polish History.” The event marked the 1000th anniversary of the coronation of Bolesław Chrobry and Mieszko II Lambert. The conference included five thematic panels addressing the Piast dynasty’s political, cultural, and religious roles, social and cultural activities, and incorporating both primary source research and new genetic findings. Discussions fostered new perspectives for future studies on Poland’s first royal dynasty.
