Abstract

The article presents the preparations and the course of the visit of the Jesuit general Father Pedro Arrupe SJ to the Polish People’s Republic in the light of documentation by the officers of the communist Ministry of the Interior. The author quotes the opinions expressed by the Polish clergy regarding the presence of Father Pedro Arrupe SJ in Poland and notes the information provided by informers and officers of the Ministry of the Interior. This visit by a Jesuit general was not well received by the Polish Roman Catholic clergy.
