Open Access Policy

The publishing policy of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw (UKSW) for its journals is based on the Libre Open Access standard. This means that all articles published in journals issued by UKSW are freely accessible, i.e., they are immediately and freely available to read, download, and share. Articles published under the Libre Open Access standards can be placed on any website, used for lectures, and included in reading rooms without the need for permission from the author or publisher. However, proper attribution to the author and the license must always be provided.

The copyright policy for materials published in journals issued by UKSW is as follows: the authors retain the copyright to the published materials.

Articles published in journals issued by UKSW are subject to the terms of the Creative Commons CC BY-ND 4.0 International license, which allows:

  • Sharing – Copying and redistributing the material in any medium or format; for any purpose, even commercially.

Under the following conditions:

  • Attribution – The work must be properly attributed, a link to the license must be provided, and any changes that were made must be indicated. This can be done in any reasonable manner, as long as it does not suggest that the licensor endorses you or your use of the work.
  • No Derivatives – If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you may not distribute the modified material.

Policy on editorial fees: Authors do not bear any costs associated with the publication of their articles, including article processing charges (APCs), editorial fees, color charges, submission fees, page charges, membership fees, print subscription costs, or other additional fees. Authors also do not receive any financial compensation for published materials.

Policy on the deposition of different versions of materials: Authors may deposit without any embargo: 1) the submitted version, 2) the accepted version, and 3) the published version of their articles in institutional or other repositories of their choice.
