Catholic Radio in Poland after 1989 - beginnings and development. Outline of the issues

Abstract

The article presents the theoretical role of radio, its classification, and specificity, with a focus on Catholic radio. It discusses the evolution of Polish radio broadcasting, including the establishment of Catholic stations after 1989 and the impact of technology on the development of this medium. The concept of radio is defined as a unique medium in its auditory nature—connecting listeners in an intimate relationship with the content. The main goal was to highlight the changes that occurred in Poland, which influenced the landscape of Polish Catholic radio broadcasting.
