Article review procedure
Texts submitted (via the platform or, alternatively, to the editorial office address) are initially evaluated by the editorial staff and qualified for further processing. In the event of gross formal deficiencies, they may be returned to the author for completion.
Each article is evaluated by two reviewers. Authors and reviewers do not know each other's identities. The review consists of sending coded texts to two reviewers representing the same scientific discipline as the author. Since 2025, both reviewers have been affiliated with universities other than Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw (UKSW). Previously, one reviewer was selected from UKSW and the other from outside.
Reviewers may accept the text without corrections, order necessary corrections and request that the text be submitted to them for re-review, order corrections without re-evaluation, or reject the text. A negative evaluation by both reviewers means that the text is completely rejected. In the case of one negative review, another reviewer is appointed, whose opinion determines whether the text is accepted for publication in the journal.
Reviewers use the following criteria when evaluating an article:
Academic nature.
Novelty of the approach contained in the study, contribution to science.
Creative nature of the study.
Achievement of the objectives.
Correctness of the article's structure, including the adequacy of the title to the content.
Clarity and precision of the language of the study.
Correctness of the selection of literature.
Correctness of the style and technique of citing literature.
Correctness of the conclusions drawn and their originality.
The author is then notified of the acceptance or rejection of the text, as well as instructions on how to make the necessary corrections. After the editorial work is completed, the author receives the text for approval.
