A baptised man who has received the Sacrament of Holy orders, when committing an offence in the light of ecclesiastical law, consequently is subject to the authority of the church. each offence specified in the current code of canon Law is enquired and is subject to appropriate sanctions. The most severe malpractices lead to expulsion from the clergy. each case is considered by an appropriate collegiate Tribunal. According to the legislator, the loss of the clerical status can occur in three ways: by a court judgment or an administrative decree that declares the invalidity of the orders received, the penalty of expulsion from the clerical state as a result of committed crimes, or through the rescript of the Holy See. In each of the aforementioned cases, the principal aim is to maintain the good name of the church’s community as well as maintaining the good name of the priest accused of a crime, so that the sentence is legitimate and fair .
