Author Guidelines

Article review process

Submitted texts are evaluated by the editors and qualified for publication. Each article is reviewed by two reviewers. The authors and reviewers do not know each other's identities.

Reviewers use the following criteria when evaluating an article:

  • Compatibility of title with content.
  • Compatibility of the abstract and keywords of the article with its content.
  • Substantive value of the work.
  • A proper grasp of the structure of the work.
  • Correctness of the scientific terminology used.
  • Proper formulation of final conclusions.
  • Correctness of literature citation.
  • The suitability of the article for printing.

The author is further notified of the acceptance or rejection of the text, as well as instructions on how to make the necessary corrections. Upon completion of the editorial work, the author receives the text for approval.

Text requirements
The text sent to the editor should meet the following criteria:

  • Text saved in one of the following formats: *.doc, *docx or RTF.
  • The volume of the text does not exceed 20 A4 pages (40000 characters).

Font and paragraph requirements

  • Times New Roman font size 12; spacing 1.5 lines without indentation or word transfer; paragraphs marked with an enter; no highlighting in the text; all margins at 2 cm.

The content of the complete text sent to the Editor:

  • The text includes the following attachments in Polish and English: an abstract (in Polish: about 800 characters with spaces; in English: about 1,500 characters with spaces), a title and alphabetically arranged keywords (no more than 10).
  • Biographical note about the author including the following: name, year of birth, academic title, position and affiliation, mailing address, e-mail. ORCID number

Record of bibliography and footnotes

References to the literature should be in footnotes made using the comma method. The first time a publication is referenced, use the full bibliographic notation. In subsequent citations of the same publication, use an abbreviated notation. At the end of the article include an appendix literature list.

How to cite the most common types of publications:

  • Books: initial of first name, last name, title in italics, place and year of publication, page range.
  • Article in a collective work: initial of first name, last name, title in italics, sign: "in:", title of collective work in italics, abbreviation: "ed.", initial and surname of editor, place and year of publication, page range.
  • Journal article: first name initial, last name, title in italics, journal in quotation marks, year of publication in parentheses, issue year in parentheses, issue or number, page range.
  • Internet materials: initial of first name, last name, title in italics, link to website, date of access.
  • Use the following forms in abbreviated notation: ibid.
