Abstract

The aim of the article is to show how the Dobra Fabryka Foundation is involved in providing assistance to the residents of Burkina Faso in the Zondoma province. The author also wants to emphasize how important the involvement of lay missionaries is in humanitarian and missionary work. Working in humanitarian aid shows that it is not enough to have a good heart; what is needed is a readiness to act, organization, good logistics, and perseverance. In missionary work, a strategy of action is also necessary — so as not to make the other person dependent on aid, to be able to help them overcome a given problem, and to demonstrate the value of work for the common good. Working with people teaches one how to live with those in need; it teaches sensitivity, but also the importance of maintaining boundaries and vigilance, so as not to go too far. Wise helping is the key to success, allowing one to respond reasonably to the needs of the people to whom the missionaries are sent.
