Scope and Reach of the Journal
The aim of Colloquia Litteraria is to promote knowledge and scholarly research in the fields of literary studies, editing, literary theory, and criticism. A key principle of the journal is to ensure that literary reflection remains connected to the creative and inspiring tradition of humanistic research.
Review Process
- Each publication is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers from outside the scientific institution affiliated with the author of the publication.
- The author(s) of the publication and the reviewers do not know each other’s identities (double-blind review process). In other cases, the reviewer signs a declaration confirming the absence of a conflict of interest. A conflict of interest is defined as direct personal relationships between the reviewer and the author (in particular, kinship up to the second degree, marriage), professional subordination, or direct scientific collaboration within the two years preceding the year of the review's preparation.
- The written review includes a clear recommendation from the reviewer regarding the conditions for accepting the article for publication or its rejection.
- The criteria for qualifying or rejecting publications, as well as the review form, are publicly available on the journal’s website.
- The names of reviewers for individual publications or journal issues are not disclosed.
- Review Form.

It ensures free access to all published content, adhering to the principle that freely available research enhances and accelerates the global development of science and the exchange of scholarly knowledge. The editorial team is guided by ethical principles. In accordance with the principle of responsibility, it decides which articles will be published, ensures their quality, and, when necessary, is prepared to publish corrections, errata, or clarifications. Articles are evaluated based on the principle of fair play — based on their quality and relevance to the journal, regardless of the author’s origin, nationality, ethnicity, political views, gender, race, or religion. The editorial team is obligated to maintain the confidentiality of information related to the editorial process. The editorial team may withdraw an article from publication or decide to correct already published materials, and unpublished texts may not be used in the publishing process without the author’s written consent. The decision to publish or reject a text is made by the editorial team, primarily based on the scientific value of the text and its alignment with the journal’s thematic scope. Editorial team members are obligated to ensure the scientific integrity of published works, and in cases of suspected unethical practices, they are required to withdraw the text from publication and take explanatory and corrective actions.

- Principle of Scientific Integrity: Authors are obligated to conduct, present, and objectively interpret scientific research honestly, disclosing the sources of data in the text.
- Principle of Originality: The work must be the intellectual property of the author. Plagiarism, self-plagiarism, falsification, fabrication of data or research methods, or the use of privately obtained information (e.g., from conversations or correspondence) without the written consent of the source’s author is not permitted.
- Principle of Data Accessibility: Authors must provide access to data in certain circumstances and upon the editorial team’s request.
- Principle of Avoiding Conflicts of Interest: This includes conflicts arising from professional subordination, economic dependencies, or personal relationships that could affect impartiality in evaluating the text’s value.

All authors must approve the final version of the work and consent to its publication. Authors must also disclose sources of funding for the publication, contributions from research institutions, associations, etc.
- Principle of Source Reliability: Authors must properly cite publications that influenced their work.
- Principle Regarding Errors in Published Works: Authors must promptly notify the editor-in-chief if significant errors are identified in their publication, enabling the publication of an erratum, clarification, or withdrawal of the article.
- Principle of Avoiding Redundant, Unnecessary, or Concurrent Publication: Submitting an article for publication constitutes a declaration that the text has not been previously published, including electronically, is not under consideration by other journals, and is not a fragment of a larger publication, such as a monograph.
- Authors must prepare the text in accordance with the author guidelines (available on the journal’s website).
c) Reviewers
Reviewers collaborate with the journal’s editorial team, participate in the editorial process at the review stage, and influence decisions regarding the publication of texts. They may also, in consultation with authors, contribute to shaping the final form of the article. Reviewers are obligated to complete reviews within the agreed timeframe and must promptly inform the editorial team of any delays or withdrawal from the review process. Only authorized individuals — editors, authors, and reviewers — have access to the reviewed works. Reviews focus solely on the substantive and formal aspects of the text. Reviewers must disclose any instances indicating similarity between the reviewed work and other works and identify any works not cited by the author. Reviewers may not use reviewed texts for their own purposes or benefits, and in cases of a conflict of interest with the author, they must be excluded from the review process.
