Abstract

The article discusses issues related to environmental education and sustainable development in preschool education. The results of the research conducted in 2022 with the participation of pre-school teachers from the Mazovia Voivodeship are presented.

The aim of the research was to find out how pre-school teachers working with children on a daily basis are engaged in the process of implementing content related to broadly understood ecology.

The research questions concerned:

  • frequency of presenting ecological content during classes with the group,
  • types of ecological content that teachers present to their pupils,
  • whether the teacher feels adequately prepared to conduct classes in the kindergarten on ecology and sustainable development.

In addition to the research results, the article contains a literature review, research procedure and conclusions.
