Creativity in Polish pedagogical thought

Abstract

The article presents the basic directions of development of the narrative of creativity in Polish pedagogical thought. The analysis began in the interwar period and the publication of the first monograph devoted to the creative school. The achievements of social pedagogy in the area of developing the concept of help in creation were indicated. Concepts of creativity in educational sciences in the next decades of the 20th century were presented. Attention was paid, inter alia, to the theory of upbringing and education to creativity, didactics of creativity, the concept of a creative lifestyle. The main trends of the narrative of pedagogy of creativity in the first years of the 21st century and the shaping of a new subdiscipline of pedagogical creatology were exposed. Three levels of the narrative of creativity in pedagogy were indicated: (1) theoretical – various concepts are created; (2) empirical – quantitative and qualitative explorations are carried out, and (3) practical – specific programs to help in creating and methodological guides are developed.
